At Least Try One Dose

Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

It won’t be long and we will be in full swing of, hopefully, hearing “Merry Christmas” ring out of strangers that we pass on our way. I once knew a lady who wasn’t the best speller. She sent a company wide email at the business she worked for and signed every Christmas card with “Mary Christmas!” 

Why would I draw such a silly thing out? Because having a laugh every now and again is medicine to a broken spirit. I’m afraid that we often get a stiff view of God and we don’t believe that God could have a sense of humor. Don’t believe that God has a sense of humor? Just take a look at the mirror tomorrow morning and see what God has done to your hair!

I’m afraid if we take all the moments of life too seriously that we can live a miserable existence, and that is not what God wants for us. All that said, laugh a little! It’s the best medicine that you could ask for, just try a dose!
